M.SC. IN ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY

St. Aloysius College, Mangalore offers a two year’s course in M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry. The degree is awarded by the Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Konaje, Karnataka.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
To impart sound knowledge in the subject.
To enthuse students towards research in chemistry.
To provide motivated and skilled manpower to industry.
To give opportunities to students for their all round development.

COURSE CONTENT:

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEPARTMENT :

The Chemistry Department has well trained and qualified Faculty with research background. The department has 10 faculty members out of which 4 hold Ph.D. Degree. Many Staff Members of the Department have cleared UGC / SLET Examinations The Department has a well equipped laboratory. The Department has already organised state level chemistry seminars to the college students and the staff.

SALIENT FEATURES:

Guest lectures will be arranged from eminent scientists and personnel from industries.
Students will be encouraged to participate in seminars / conferences.
Student seminars will be conducted every week.
Students will be encouraged to write UGC-CSIR, NET, SLET examinations.
Study tours to Industries and research centres will be organized.
Through the placement cell, students will be given job opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

Students with a first class in B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognised Indian or foreign University are eligible to apply.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES:
On completion of this course students will be absorbed in teaching, research or in industries.
