M.S. IN COMMUNICATIONS

MS in Communications is a two-year Masters Program in Mass Communications offered by St Aloysius College, Mangalore under the autonomy system.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
to impart theoretically sound education in mass communication
to help students integrate their learning with adequate practical experience
to train youngsters in all streams of media with practical learning
to prepare them to get into industry easily by developing competence in offering job-oriented education

The course is designed to offer the best of theoretical and practical knowledge to students. Hence it covers alll the media, besides specializing in three streams. The two-year Maters program is neatly organized into our semesters:

In addition, the students will undergo six weeks of internship in reputed media organizations for their hands-on experience in media.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Studnts with B.A. Journalism / B.A.J.C., B.Com, B.Sc, or any other equipment degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Non- Journalism studnts also can apply.

Mass communications is a rapidly expanding field. Any student with a sound knowledge of the media and some exposure will be
easily absorbed in media industry, teaching, or any industry in various capacities. The department will also have tie-ups with
renowned media organisations for campus recruitments.
